I went completely bonkers the moment he revealed his intentions....

did it mean something that dipper's birthmark was showing in the episode or was just there

I think Mabel knew. I think she knew about Stan's fake IDs and I think she knew me had the other journals. and I think that after she found out, Stan told her "its all in good intention" and made her promise she wouldn't tell dip. I Think this because during the episode, she seems so unaffected by these revelations, she also seems to try to lead dip away from finding out. there's one more thing I noticed that supports this: after they read the warning in all 3 journals dipper runs in to the "machine room" to shut it off, Mabel then puts her hand out in front of her before following him. The way she does this, it seemed like she was trying to chase dip and stop him, rather than just run through the door. (You can look for yourselves)
I also think she didn't know exactly where his lab was (because she led dip right to it) or what the machine did. So she had the warnings in the journals saying it could end the world, and Stan saying it was all in good intention. This would explain why she still almost pressed the button. As for stand brother, I don't think anyone knew about him.

i dont think stan told anyone about this actually because there would be no reason for him to do that
and idk mabel was surprised enough about these revelations?? the only reason mabel almost pressed the button was probably because dipper wanted her to do and the fact that she felt betrayed by stan for not telling them about his plan
but she still chose stan over dipper because she always believes in the good of people

This is so cute! I really like the part with stan and his brother! This episode was just awesome! Now we know the author of the journals but there are sooo many other questions like "where was stans brother all the time?" or "what happened to Dipper?" (that's my personal question because Dipper acted a little bit like Bipper in this episode). I hope there will be a new great episode and also great fanart from you!
