Occasionally I work outside of the fighting spirit universe. These guys are one such example.

POWER RANGERS: SPIRIT SURGE

1st Team

High school students, Jordan Barker, Asami Matsumoto and her adopted sister Maylin are staying late for track and field practice, when the vanguard of an alien invasion lands before them. The shape-changing, technology reliant aliens appear to be out for vengeance on something they call the Wild Spectrum and are willing to destroy as much of human civilization as necessary to draw the Wild out of hiding. They are saved by the new kid Noa Moreau who reveals himself as the red rhino spirit surge ranger and their mutual friend Mikhail Vasiliev, a practiced son of one of the five Wild Spectrum families (descendants of the mystic martial artists who originally forged the powers).

One by one starting with Mikhail the others each manifest their own spirit animals/ranger forms and are thrown into a long standing martial arts tradition, a quest to rediscover a heritage hidden from them and a battle to save the world from yet another alien invasion.

Later they are joined by a turncoat alien wielding a stolen, government-built, morpher that channels the Wild Spectrum through experiment technology. The alien, now calling himself Volt, becomes the Lightning Dragon, the very first artificial Wild user. Later still, when the team is thrown into disarray by power loss, the departure of Noa and subsequent introduction of the Red Wolf ranger Max Harvey, they turn to a legendary ranger for mentoring and guidance. None other than Jason Lee Scott. The Void Rex Ranger.

I do intend to one day write a complete fic for these guys, but I've got a fair amount on my plate as it is, so... we'll see how that pans out. I also have their civilian forms pixel'd and will try to upload them when I have the time.

As always, the template/base is courtesy of Taiko544, but the rest of the pixel-pushing is mine and mine alone.
