Meet my newest character, Oatley!
I was so excited after drew her last night that I couldn't sleep.

Guess which cookie her design was inspired by! The answer is... oatmeal raisin, of course!
My step mom brought home chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies so that's where I got my inspiration.

Oatley's Bio:

Oatley is a resident of Bakersville, where she works at the sweet shop and bakery. On the outside she appears to be a feisty hot-head who doesn't like to be told what to do, but deep down she is a kind hearted person and is very generous. She has a competitive streak but is very outgoing. Oatley's famous oatmeal raisin cookies are what put Bakersville on the map!

Oatley came from a family farm in the country to the small and sleepy town of Bakersville. Her parents own the wheat farm. Her passion for baking emerged when one day her grandparents were visiting when she was just 4 years old. Oatley and her Grandma decided to bake cookies together for fun, and grandma told Oatley to fetch the flour from the pantry. She found it on a shelf that was too high for her to reach but knocked it off the shelf and she was covered in flour. When her grandma saw the mess, they laughed and her grandma told her that she had the makings of a baker. After Oatley was cleaned up, her grandma put an apron around her and a chef hat on her head, and they spent the rest of the day baking cookies.

Fun Facts:
I didn't want her name to be straight up Oatmeal Raisin since it would sound too Strawberry Shortcake like. I took the name Oakley and changed it to Oatley.
