Newest update + changes:07 . 28 . 2016 | So, I'm not sure what will happen to Smoke at this point in time. I believe the reason he switched ShadowClan no longer exists in the group, but I will most likely be keeping Snowkit & him in regardless. I'm working out character stuff right now. Anyway--App transfer, gave him the new stat format & touched some things up!

- Left at the border, the mysterious little kit was discovered by a RiverClan patrol probably half of a day after being discarded. He was quite the strong kit to survive in the bitter cold of Leaf-fall's near end, but was quite sick and had to immediately be taken to the clan's medicine cat for treatment. His recovery was smooth. Once he was out of the den and accepted fully into the clan as one of their own, he was named "Smokekit" for the patterns in his fur.
- Smokekit was adopted by two kind cats, Yarrowfoot (father) and Fallenheart (mother). Yarrowfoot was very confident and head-strong, always finding ways to do things. Fallenheart was calm and collected, usually sighing at his fathers' antics. Their relationship together overall was very nice. The clan apparently envied their love.
- Sometimes, Smokekit would notice Fallenheart leaving the den at night without an explanation. He spent quite a few nights in the nursery alone. It began to happen more frequently throughout his moons as a kit, and he heard word of why. Fallenheart and Yarrowfoot had tried to have kits previous to his adoption. Three kits came out as still-borns, and the fourth passed soon after from a vicious round of greencough. He did not understand what this meant at the time. Soon, Yarrowfoot and Fallenheart had been seen discussing things in hushed voices near the entrance of the camp on multiple occasions. It all led to their mysterious disappearance when he reached his 6th moon. They could not look at him without sorrow, he had realized at a later date. His apprentice ceremony felt empty without his adoptive family beside him. He took after his father's personality a lot.
. Apprenticeship . "The Eye of the Raven."

- Smokekit, now Smokepaw, was mentored by one of the fiercest warriors he had met; Raveneye. She was not a she-cat to be meddled with. Cold and hard-working. Her eyes saw all. If you did something behind her back, she would find out. Sneaking up on her was near impossible (he tried many times). Just when you thought you would pin her, she would whisk herself away with grace. He desired to take after her so much, but she said something that made him change his mind. "You and I are different; while I value speed and evasion, you value strength and power. Do not expect to become like me when your views are different from mine. Do you want the power to defeat your enemies, or do you want the speed to escape their claws?"
- From there on out, he kept devising strategies to work against her. It took quite a while before he ever won a match against her, and then she really started the training. He became a powerhouse shortly after, focusing on his strength more than his agility. He grew stronger and stronger, using sneaky maneuvers to outwit faster opponents.
- His training ended with Raveneye being almost like a mother to him; while still coarse and distrusting, she would occasionally be warmer to him.
- His final assessment was astounding! His mentor was absolutely shocked to see that he had picked up such a tactic at his age. While hunting a massive river pike, his pelt had been giving him away. He covered himself in reeds, mud, and other assorted natural materials. Once under the water, he stuck to the river's bed so his cover would blend him in with the floor. That is the spawn of his suffix--"mask".
- During his ceremony, his mentor disappeared into the leaf-bare cold. The snow covered whatever tracks she would have left behind. Now without his former mentor, he was distraught, but vowed to make the clan proud of the warrior she had raised.
. Warriorhood . "Times Are Changing."
- His first moons as a warrior were simplistic. Nothing very large happened--a few border skirmishes, spending all day by the water to catch fish, things such as that. His life was as simple as a warrior's life could be. He had some friends, but mostly tried his best to be an amazing warrior. His size and strength was a proven asset to the clan, and despite his thick coat of fur, he is one of the best swimmers in his clan.
- During a particular border skirmish against a WindClan warrior, his shoulder was torn while he defended another clanmate. If he hadn't done so, the other cat would have bled out through the multiple wounds they had been given.
- Not that long into his warrior moons, Echostar fitted him with an apprentice. His name was Silverpaw: a small tom-cat that was very eager to train. This was very pleasing for Smoke.
- Shortly into his 25th moon, Echostar went missing. As all cats did, he mourned the loss of his leader, completely confused and distraught. He kept it under wraps for the sake of his younger clanmates; most of which were already freaking out. Distressed and concerned, he grabbed a warrior and went out on a small scouting patrol. This she-cat was named Aspenbranch. During their search through the harsh blizzard, Aspenbranch accidentally slipped into an old rabbit's burrow, and Smoke fell in with her when he tried to get her out. They became enclosed in the space when the entrance filled up.
- Eventually he gained a close friendship with Aspen, as well as his apprentice, now named Silverthorn. All was quite well in his little world--up until he met a beautiful she-cat named Whitewhisker. Everything seemed so dull in comparison to him after he saw her, for he thought she was the most extravagant cat he'd ever met. And so, their relationship flourished, though not exactly in a mateship way--it was a fling.
- Soon Whitewhisker was mothering his kits, and Smokemask was ecstatic. He honestly had a massive choice to make in response, though... Leave RiverClan to be with them, or stay and watch them from afar?

Description - When training an apprentice, he would act similarly to a father-like figure to the smaller cat. He's generally relaxed and rarely frets over spilt milk, and even encourages failure so that they can be motivated to try harder. He does not allow slacking though, so don't think you'll sneak out of training on him!

A bright day was beginning. Outside of the apprentice's den was a massive pile of slumbering fur, pieces of bracken and blades of grass sticking out every which way. His eyes, looking exhausted and bagged, were shut, and light snores came from his nostrils. Whoever his mentor was had worked Smokepaw ragged the day before. While some other cats began to stir and appear out of their dens, he remained unmoving.

A tiny kitten was already sitting outside the nursery, watching the trees for any signs of birds and just watching the spring breeze flow through the pine needles and cause the trees to seemingly dance in the wind. Ears perking, the tiny kit's discolored gaze traveled over to an overly large 'apprentice.' His head tilting with curiosity. He had seen his mother speak with him before, seeming quite friendly with him, but the kit had never seen him before. He had arrived a few days ago, from what Owlkit heard from the nursery, from Riverclan; which was why he smelled weird.
Putting on a nervous smile, the kit bounded over to the sleeping pile of fur, eyes sparkling with a wondrous joy. He tilted his head as he stopped next to him and sat there, not wanting to scare him by suddenly talking. But... he wanted to see who this stranger was, maybe even be his friend! "...U-um... H-hi!" He squeaked quietly, his paws pressed together as he sat there, eyes wide and his small smile growing, his two fangs poking out of his mouth.

Smokepaw was startled out of his sleep, flinching and instinctively putting his body into a tense state. Of course, his amber eyes traveled around just to find out that Owlkit was sitting before him... His son was sitting before him. A soft smile snuck onto his face as he looked at the little kitten with adoration. "Why hello, little one. How come you are out at this hour? Where are your siblings?" The tom inquired. His head lifted itself from the ground while he switched to a half-sitting position.

He flinched a bit as he noticed he had startled the tom out of sleep and prepared himself for a scolding, but as he got none, he straightened himself out a little. Blinking up at the significantly large tom, who was huge compared to Owlkit, he smiled and then looked back toward the nursery before looking back at him. "Uhm, they're still all asleep, I think." The kit mewed as he stared up at him with wide eyes. "I-I was out here to see the birds! S-sometimes there will be really pretty ones that fly and land on the branches of the trees a-and I like to watch them. I also just like to listen to the wind and hear the forest talk to me! S-sometimes mama will tell me what birds are what so I can remember them and show Wolfkit and Snowkit that I know stuff!" He rambled, obviously excited about the topic of birds and nature.

Smokepaw peered over at the dormant nursery for a fleeting moment, but retired his fluffy head back to where it was as he gazed upon his son. "Hm... I see." He mumbled. He leaned forward ever so slightly as he listened to Owlkit's rambling, a serene cascade of emotion coming over him. How adorable! I wonder if Snowkit and Wolfkit are like this... Seeing as his son's eyes were full of wonder and adventure, Smokemask actually tilted his skull upward, shiny orange orbs searching for any kind of bird that flew above. Luckily, he caught the sight of a cardinal taking flight, gracefully soaring through the sky above with a little song to follow. "Hey, Owlkit--look up. See that red bird there?" He meowed, flicking his tail toward it. "That bird is called a cardinal. They're very pretty birds--" As he spoke, he noticed something fly off of it. Was it a feather? The tom pushed himself onto his paws and stared at the area above, wondering if it would land here. "Look, one of its feathers fell off. Whoever catches it wins!" Smokemask purred enchantingly at the kit, feeling like he actually was an apprentice again.

Before hearing Smokepaw even speak, Owlkit's ears flicked as they heard a bird call, making him perk up to look to where the large tom had flicked his tail towards. Staring up at the bird in awe, his eyes were wide and shining brightly, innocence and joy filling his every breath. He listened to the tom talk about it, his heart happy that this cat was talking about birds with him. Most warriors didn't really... talk back when he was talking about birds, so he tended to stay away from them and leave them alone, feeling as if he were a bother. But this-- this made him happy. He watched as the grey cat pushed himself to his paws, looking even bigger than he was before. He grinned and purred playfully, jumping up and beginning to bound over to the feather. As he ran, he tripped over his paws a bit, getting too excited to actually focus on his movements. He purred with laughter, giggling softly as he got closer to the red feather that drifted slowly to the ground. He continued running until he thought he was close enough to jump, and he pounced for it, paws splayed out in front of him as he tried to grab it, which he did. But his jump was so clumsy that he landed face-first into the ground, contacting the dirt with an 'oof!,' the feather still safely in his paws.

Smokepaw watched as his son danced around the clearing, entranced by his pawsteps and his quirks. He was adorable. How could this little kitten possibly be his child? His eyes began to sting with tears, and he felt happiness surging through his blood. He was determined to protect Owlkit and his family with his life. A flinch visibly twitched his body when he watched the dark face of his son collide with the ground, but he managed to suppress it--a snicker covered it up. "You did it!"

Honeyripple was laying down on the cold grown, dozing off. Her paws under herself and her fluffy tail curled around herself as well.

Sagemask was exiting the Elder's den when he noticed the she-cat lounging in the camp. He had been planning to go for a hunting run today, and a companion would be rather nice. His dark pelt flashed as he suddenly darted into a hiding spot with an apprentice-like grin on his fluffy face.

She started to clean her fur, getting a few knots out of it. Stretching on paw forwards to straighten out it after having it tucked underneath her.

Suddenly, the tom pounced out of nowhere! His front paws gently pressed into her sides, and he gave a small wink. "Up and at 'em! I'm going on a hunting patrol, and I need some company. You up for it?"

She yelped, her fur fluffing out from the surprise leap. She quickly replied "Well maybe if you would get off of me!"
