Description The next in the You Know Who Should Be In Smash Brothers
series is:

New Challenger Approaching!
WHITE MAGE, RISES TO BATTLE!

SPECIAL MOVES----------------------------------------

Neutral Special – REGEN -
Pressing "B", will cause White Mage to perform the special move: Regen. A chargeable move. When "B" is held, the White Mage will close her eyes and begin charging white magic into her staff. the longer "B" is held the stronger the spell. releasing "B" will cause White Mage to hold her staff towards the sky and unleash the spell Regen creating an area around White Mage in a veil of white magic that heals anyone who enters it by 2% every second. The spells duration will depend on how long the spell was charged for. White Mage may only have one Regen spell going at a time and must wait for it to dissipate before casting a new Regen spell. The benefits of the spell can be gained by all players not just White Mage: anyone standing in the Regen spell will be healed. The Regen Spell MUST be charged for a short time for it to be used at all. simply taping "B" will cause White Mage to begin charging the spell only to have it fail.
DMG: 0% (heals players 2% for every second within Regen)

Side Special – DIA -
Pressing "B" while also holding "left" or "right" on the directional pad, will cause White Mage to perform the special move: Dia. The White Mage spins her staff creating a circular rune in front of her, White Mage then thrusts her Staff into the rune's center causing the rune to expel a blast of light that damages foes and deals big knock back. Dia has a decent reach but does suffer from a slightly slow start up.
DMG: 20%

Down Special – REFLECT -
Pressing "B" while also holding "down" on the directional pad, will cause White Mage to perform the special move: Reflect. White Mage casts reflect and surrounds herself in a sphere of golden light that travels forward a bit as it does visible cracks can be seen stretching across the sphere allowing bright white light to shine out before it explodes dealing DMG and knock back to anyone within range, the White Mage remains unscathed. while Reflect is intact it can repel all projectiles (Not Final Smash projectiles).
DMG: 13% (Explosion)

Up Special – WARP -
Pressing "B" while also holding "up" on the directional pad, will cause White Mage to perform the special move: Warp. Glowing runes will expand beneath White Mage Magic will lift her off the ground a bit. Holding 'B' will send out a circle of magic that can be controlled with the control stick it moves quite fast and may be a bit hard to control, releasing 'B' will cause a sphere of magic to envelop White Mage making her vanish and teleport to the circle's location instantly. This move deals DMG to opponents and knocks them upwards if you warp to a player's location.
DMG: 15%

Final Smash – HOLY -
After Obtaining the Smash Ball and pressing "B", White Mage will spin in place, "Please," she says, as magic lifts her off the ground a bit, with her arms outstretched her eyes closed, the White Mage's staff glows brightly as magic races upward from beneath the White Mage. at this point players can move the White Mage she is able to levitate around the stage as she channels more power her staff glows more brightly. players should get White Mage as close to as many foes as possible before she is done channeling the spell Holy. when the FS time is up, a scene will play of the White Mage swinging her staff upwards: "Lend us your strength!" she shouts- sending up a slow moving sphere of white light- all around her magic swirls upward as if trying to touch the sphere and in one bright flash of light the ball of magic explodes creating a giant sphere of holy magic that deals big racking DMG when the magic dissipates to lets out one final shock wave sending those hit by Holy flying as the scene ends and Holy is reduced to nothing more than sparkles.
DMG: 1%-50% (Racking DMG from Holy)

Kirby Hat -
When Kirby swallows White Mage, Kirby will gain a White Mage hood while also gaining the Regen Ability.

TAUNTS----------------------------------------

Taunt 1 –
White Mage will spin on one foot as her staff spins around her magically. White Mage ends the spin by facing the screen and brushing a strand of hair out of her face, grabbing her staff out of the air she re-enters fighter stance.

Taunt 2 –
White Mage will twirl her staff in front of her one handed as if it were a baton having it come to rest behind her she strikes a pose before re-entering fighter stance (Garnet's Victory Animation FF IX)

Taunt 3 –
White Mage will hold out her hand as a Crystal Shard appears hovering in the palm of her hand it lets off a faint light, the White Mage grabs the crystal causing it to vanish into sparkles. she re-enters fighter stance.

PALUTENA'S GUIDANCE FOR WHITE MAGE--------------------------------

PALUTENA: A White Mage? Here?

PIT: You sound surprised Lady Palutena.

PALUTENA: I guess I am Pit. White Mages are known for their healing spells, not really for their battle prowess.

VIRIDI: But in Smash Brothers anyone can join the fray. I mean look at Pit.

PIT: Yeah anyone can- Hey, wait.

PALUTENA: I suppose that's true. The White Mage does have some offensive capabilities.

VIRIDI: She is also able to heal her wounds by using the spell Regen.

PIT: Wait- she can heal herself! aw! no fair!

PALUTENA: Hold that thought Pit. When the White Mage casts Regen the spell creates an area of healing.

PIT: ... Meaning?

VIRIDI: Meaning, if you're in that area...

PIT: ... I'm not following you.

VIRIDI: Honestly Pit you're hopeless!

PALUTENA: Meaning, if you enter that area you will be healed too. I suppose even in Smash Brothers the White Mages's desire to help people can't be stopped.

STAGE------------------------------------

FLYING FORTRESS

Once the home to the Lufenian race, the Flying Fortress sits in the sky amidst a sea of clouds. The Flying Fortress is a rather large stage: the center of the stage is made up of four floors of the Flying Fortress, at the top most floor rests the Wind Crystal. Its radiance shines over the battlefield as it spins slowly in place. To the right side of the stage are two towers that act as additional platforms and to the left side of the stage is another tower that serves as two platforms. Not quite above the clouds, the Flying Fortress flies through them. these clouds tend to obscure parts of the stage as they pass. When the brilliance of the Wind Crystal fades, the Fiend of Wind: Tiamat will appear as a Stage Boss. Tiamat will attack the stage and players using elemental skills, when the multi-headed dragon is KOed it will lose its balance and fall from the Flying Fortress when it has, the Wind Crystal will shine brightly once more bringing a calmness to the skies preventing Clouds from obscuring the stage, however the light will eventually fade and the skies will be thrown into chaos once more as thick clouds will again begin to obscure parts of the stage.

Cute redesign an interesting stage choice. There's a lot from the original Final Fantasy that slipped my mind in terms of what could be good stage designs

Thanks! I really wanted to re draw the character art as the last one was a bit wonky. I'm pretty pleased with the way this one came out.

I am too. She does look cute and this is a fine moveset. In fact I think this is the definitive White Mage moveset

The only Final Fantasy Aspects they have been using in the Smash Bros. series apparently are from Final Fantasy VII, nothing from the other games in the series.

i was trying to get a design that represented the original White Mage but also was stand outish? Shirma from Chocobo Dungeon always sticks out in my mind when i think of White Mage so I borrowed a bit from her too.

Part of me thinks she'd have her nintendo design (the one that looks like a teenage rosalina)
or at least have the hairstyle and crown.
