Description
This is the finished digitally colored version of my little couple pic of Yoshi and Birdo . I colored it with OC and inseted the background with photoshop . Yoshis puttin the moves on his girl Birdo and shes falling right into his arms . Yoshi is the best Mario charecter XP .Lovely pic for such a great Holiday huh ? In Super Mario Advance, when you get to the birdo fight, it's OBVIOUSLY a girl judging by the voice.

Judging by the voice, maybe. But (and I quote from wikipedia): "Although later Nintendo mythology classifies Birdo as female, the original US first edition game manual describes Birdo as follows: "He thinks he is a girl and he spits eggs from his mouth. He'd rather be called 'Birdetta.'" Subsequent editions of the game manual cut the 'Birdetta' sentence but retained the first sentence.[citation needed] This ambiguity does not exist in Japan, since Birdo is known there as "Catherine" and purportedly enjoys being called "Cathy". Nintendo has fixed this confusion in the US by retconning the gender confusion out of the official Mario game universe, and has classified Birdo as female ever since Super Mario Bros. 2 was remade for SNES."
So basically, yes, in your US version of your gameboy advacned game, she is female. in the Japanese original, he's a gender-confused male.
Also, Bridget from Guilty Gear is male. SHOCK!
