Okay, I know this looks like a copy of an official image, but it's actually a relief print I made for school! Meaning, I took the original image of Hiei, cut it out of Linoleum, and printed it with black ink on rice paper on a big printing press roller thingy. Also, even though this is fanart and belongs in the Anime/Manga category, there was no place for a print in there, so, I put it in the Lino cut category, since that's what it physically is.This is the first print I've ever made, and I spent quite a while cutting out all the details like his hair. Luckily though, it came out fairly close to the original. This is something completely different from my usual art, since usually I only post digital stuff, so I hope everyone can enjoy it! I worked really hard o.o

That's really awesome. For me, it's hard deciding how to carve it. Like, just carving the lines, or opposite, but either way, this one would've looked cool. Well Done

Deciding how to make the blocks is really hard huh, because you have to think of things in a lot of backwards ways! Thank you very much ^^

Your print is very well made. I didn't really know about anime or manga when I had done mine (though apparently several of my favorite shows and movies growing up happened to be anime anyways...)
Wow... It's been years since I've done a linoleum print... When I had made mine, I had the most detail filled block of original artwork (there were a few who used other characters or comic strips and traced it on but I didn't want to do that.) It took me forever to get it finished! The hot plate we used in class was on the other side of the room so I had to rush it back to my desk between the rest of the students right away so I could try the smaller details (but of course I lost patience so I changed the original background to something very different.)

Those are really fun, I actually did one awhile back of Stinkoman from Homestar Runner... if you've ever seen the Homestar Runner cartoon (www.homestarrunner.com) Coincidentally as I say this, I am wearing a Stinkoman t-shirt. I think it's pretty decent but I would definitly liked to have seen more line play, even if it was just for a background, it would make it more of your own art rather than having to say "Ya know guys, this looks like I copied it but I didnt" because while you used an advanced technique, it's still copying. I think if you're ever gonna go at it again, play around, dont copy it exactly, screw with line and texture.

Mya, you're one of the first people to actually give me an advanced critique when i selected Advanced Critique Encouraged ^^ The reason i copied this exactly is because i really like the image and knew it would make a perfect print, and also, because it's the first one i've ever done, I wanted to make sure i was capable of being accurate. My newer prints have more texture, things added, and uniqueness, but they're still at school right now
