Ah Conker the Squirrel:

First introduced in Diddy Kong racing along with Banjo (but not Kazooie), I wonder if Rare wanted to make more games with the new characters they introduced, and why they didn't chose timber which was supposed to be Diddy's friend, all in all, it ended being Conker and Banjo, Conker got his first game on the Game boy color, "Conker pocket tales", I have no memories of the game whatsoever but it was an innocent, kid friendly game, and a step forward to Conkers history, Rare then wanted to make another platformer game similar to Banjo Kazooie staring Conker, first named Conker quest and then changed to Conker twelve tales, and while still in beta, the game received quite the critics about being another "cute little platformer" that was popular at the time. This put a halt to the development, and with years without any news people thought the game was cancelled, but Rare suddenly responded with a "lets see who's cute now" and released "Conker's bad fur day". while it was another platform game it certainly took a 180° turn from the kid friendly themes and dared with a much more mature theme with a lot of black humor, it took everyone by surprise. I can say i have very fond memories of the game, it made a cult and it was the game that put conker on the map. While the developers wanted to end the game with Conkers suicide, they refrained doing so thinking that they could develop a sequel, but they didn't expect to be bought by Microsoft putting an end to their sequel plans and instead doing a remake of the game called "Conker live and reloaded" and with this, it will mark the end of Conker as a series, he made a reappearance on the game "project spark" as a dlc pack, a game I have no knowledge of, and then he was going to appear on a VR game, but after the alpha that they showed, it brought so many bad critics that is most likely dead now.

Such a tragic tale for our character here, much like in his signature game. Now, people dont want him to make a reappearance knowing that probably will lack the charm that made him good, but for those that met him at his golden age, it really left a mark.

On Lure, time after the end of BFD, a depressed Conker with no will to live, that was taken away against his will to embark on a new adventure alongside Bubsy the bobcat, Gex the gecko and Captain claw
