What do you use to take photos on? I always use mat board, but I see so many who photograph reptiles use a shiny surface! >.<

I love these guys, almost got a breeding par for myself!

Hm, the surface I use here is something I got with my lightbox. Not quite sure where else you can get it? It gives a nice effect, but I currently prefer using a bat board myself.

Sadly I don't have viper geckos anymore, but maybe some day in the future I'll have a breeding pair. The two I had turned out to be two females. :/

Oh ok, I know some who use colored reflective glass as well. Looks like I need to shop around ^^

Aww! They are so cheap here, so I could always get two females for my empty tanks I have laying around (:

Yeah. Playing around with a mirror is also quite a lot of fun. I should do that more often.

Lucky you, I spent $350 on mine, + the tank they lived in. It wasn't even a very big tank, but suitable for something on that size. Ridiculous prices here in Sweden. :/

Yeah, most countries I know have wild gecko prices, here vipers are like $50. Plus there are lots of classifieds that have them cheapish. ^^

Thanks!
Yeah, I don't think they are too common in the reptile-hobby. I'm the only one in my country I know of who has them at least.

D'aw!! So cute! I've wanted one of these guys since I saw a hatchling at the local reptile show a few years back. How handle-able are the?

CamStatic In reply to Not-Think [2010-03-10 14:10:39 +0000 UTC]

Thanks!
They are just as handleable as a leopard gecko, might be a little more "flighty". They're really cool, and very tiny, so gotta make sure you're careful with them, and that they can't fall too far down if they decide to jump off your hands.

-nods- Thanks! (Perhaps one day I'll get one... or more... -stares off into the distance, longingly-)

Haha, they are very easy to take care of, so you should go for it! Good luck!
