Background: Mimori was raised by her single mother, following her father’s death only moments before she was born. Her mother was so heartbroken by the loss, she spiraled into depression and alcoholism and was no longer able to take care of her young daughter. Mimori learned how to be independent from a young age and was able to heat up microwave dishes and make cup ramen by age 6. She did most of the cleaning in the house and served as more of a housemaid than a child. Mimori never went to a public school, and her mother hired a tutor for her instead just so she was at least educated. Eventually, money started to run out and her mother began taking more... drastic measures to earn money. Every few days, she would forbid Mimori from coming out of her bedroom until the next morning. While Mimori didn’t know what was going on for a long time, she did catch glimpses of strange men she didn’t recognize every now and then. However, the now 12 year old Mimori was eventually spotted by a group of the men and offered Mimori’s mother a TON of cash if she let her daughter join in aswell. Mimori’s mother, who was seriously intoxicated and cared more about money than her own child, agreed with their idea. The next day, Mimori was two things: traumatized and no longer pure. This went on for a few more years, though it became less frequent as time went on. Eventually, Mimori’s mother decided she was no longer interested in having her daughter around as she wanted to start a new life, and left her with her paternal grandparents, promising she’d come back. She never did.
