beautiful painting, love this a lotΒ  The look in the panther's eyes is hypnotic.Β  Also the background,Β  I watercolor too and I find backgrounds can be just as much of a challenge as the subject.

Personally, I consider the backgrounds to be my biggest challenge; if they go wrong it's difficult to save them. I've had to redo several paintings because of the background failing to turn out the way I want it to, so I always start with that bit.

I know what you mean about backgrounds.Β  I see some great backgrounds on paintings and I know how difficult they can be so I like to compliment a really good background on a lovely painting.
