Description I have updated Peggy! Thanks to all the suggestions I got here and from virtualpetlist forums, I was able to create this. Her family loved it

Hi! Anyone up for some advice/critique? I need some serious help with this pet painting. I only have one reference for this little girl - Peggy - the hedgehog (brown pinto). The painting and reference are shown at actual size (neither gets bigger). So I've had to look around on google but I'm not finding a lto of really useful refs and i have never held a real hedgie. So if you can offer advice or redlines or good refs of feet - by all means - please feel free to comment!

ahh this is so cool! I just have one small critique. They don't have five hind toes, only four. c:

Why thank you And shoot... nobody mentioned the toes. Thankfully, the commissioner didn't seem to notice. o.o I've never held a real one. I re did this one twice before I was satisfied with it. Thank you for pointing that out in case I do more hedgehogs

hehe no problem! And I see why you'd give them 5 toes, since a majority of hedgehog species do indeed have 5 toes. xD But the African Pygmy is an exception. c:

Thanks I'm pretty happy with it though nobody looking at it will believe it actually took me quite a bit longer than the portrait of mother and daughter lol.

My experience with hedgehogs are limited, but I can say definitely that the snout is to long/large in relation to his eyes. And I would go darker with his nose and eyes, they are very beady in the reference.

But I agree, not a shabby job!

Thank you! I've gotten some nice advice from everyone on dA and some on a pet site forum that was great, too I think between all of the advice you guys have been giving me - I'm going to do a mighty-fine revision of this Thank you!

I think that you should continue the hedgehogs butt fur (sorry, I have a bad english, so lets call it like that. XD) little lower, because now it looks like that his fur is ending in a weird looking spot.

Okay, I could do that. I was trying to do the whole leafy transform thing I do with almost all my pet paintings - but this one doesn't necessarily need it I'm adding your suggestion to my list!
