I never played the game, but I think well enough that Nook isn't that greedy. I can't understand why people said it's true.

So true. I think the issue was mostly him upgrading your house without your permission, and then making you pay for it.
But even then it's not like he ever gave a deadline or anything, and he's stopped doing that in New Leaf. But I always though the whole 'Tom Nook is a greedy slave-driver' thing was more aΒ joke than a serious thought. Jokes aside, Nook is a really stand-up guy.

Yeah I've never had a problem with Nook or the debt because he gives you as much time as you need to pay him back.

I guess the first time's understandable. I meant that it's kind of mean that after you've paid him off and tell him you're happy with the house you have, he'll renovate your house after you tell him not to, then say you owe him for a favour you never asked for.Β
