Description I decided I should upload something new because it's been so long since my last posted piece.
This was done in December for my cousin's Christmas present. He's an avid golfer. I tried to make it resemble him a bit.

I was hoping this pose would make sense, considering I know nothing about golf, it was a bit nerve-wracking.

Well, let's hope I got something right. Enjoy!

I always love seeing your tea-works. You're improving with every single one of them, especially in the depths and details.
I wouldn't even have thought that it is possible to have so many details painted in tea only

I don't know much about golf either, but to me the pose looks very convincing. I bet he loved it
Is the golfer standing in a pond or behind a hill/in a hole?

Hello dear! Good to hear from you again! I'm sorry I haven't caught up with you, life has been hectic. I really hope you're doing well.

Thank you so much! I know nothing of golf, but I think the pose is ok. My cousin said it was very accurate. I wouldn't have a clue. XD
Someone else commented on the awkwardness of the legs too. Actually one of his feet is back resting on the toes, but the dark tea in the front covered it. Does that make sense?

I hate golf, but I love this piece! How does that cancel out? I kinda like golf? I have neutral feelings towards golf? I'm confused!

I hate gold too, don't worry. Never played it actually (except mini golf) but I find it bordering torturous to watch. Anyway, thank you so much for the comments! I always appreciate your enthusiastic encouragement ^.^

Np! Mini golf is a bore for me as well! I played actual golf once, and it was awful. I sucked at it, and it that only made it last longer!

Ok, I'll admit...mini golf is boring too. Just not my sport at all. I thinking you understand where I'm coming from.
When you're bad at something it just makes everything seem miserable. That's pretty much me and most sports in a nutshell.
Thanks again!

always late, that's me.
This is really nice~ Did he like it? so much tea lolol do you drink any of it?
As someone who also knows nothing about golf, it looks perfect! haha;
except I'm not quite sure what he's doing with his legs, but I am definitely no judge lol
I like the background space It looks like it's hard to differentiate the sky and far-off ground, but you're just skilled like that hehe:">

Thank you!
Yes, he did really like it. I actually don't drink the tea that I paint with, but I do drink other tea while painting. ^^ The stuff I paint with is really boiled down and condensed. I imagine it would be really bitter. XD

Uh, I know. The legs look so strange because they suddenly cut off. The reference I used made it make sense because it showed down to the feet, but it's an odd place to cut off suddenly. One leg is actually way behind the other one. Oh well. ^^

Thank you as always! It's always such a privilege to get your comments!

D; I'm so bad at replying on time;
haha what tea do you drink? Boiled down and condensed seem like opposites to me lol; which foot is way behind the other one?

It's always a privilege to get responses from you hehe

Gawd, I am so embarrassed. This response is so overdue it's just sad. I haven't forgotten about you!
I drink many teas actually. I have a thing where I only drink certain ones at different times of the year. Chai, black, and winter spiced teas in winter and fall, ginger and white in the spring, and oolong, matcha, and green in the summer. Plus some other herbals and rooibos. So many! I have some teas that are strictly painter teas only too. (Usually it's the ones I don't care for) Like really fruity or berry teas.
Haha, I had to look at it again. His right leg is suppose to be resting on his toes. So it does look kinda awkward. I hope you've been well! It's been too long.

Very nice work! I saw your other pieces done with tea and I remember thinking, that's an unusual choice of medium. I really like this one since it's very detailed, the textures are wonderful and the sense of depth is captured really well. I don't know anything about golf so can't really comment on the 'sport' aspect of it

Wow, thank you so much for the great comment and feedback.
It is a different medium, but I've really grown to like it. It's much faster to use than watercolor.
And don't worry, I can't comment on the sport aspects either. I have no idea if it's even remotely correct.
Thanks again! I always appreciate your support.

LOL! No, it's not my style. You know me, the big lover of sports. Especially golf.
Yeah, I messed up quite a bit on this one. But my cuz said I drew a perfect swing...whatever that is. XD haha I have no clue.
*cough* and um, yes we do. Next time we see each other, it's getting done! We will be excellent group founders. I predict much procrastinating.
