Allergic? I can easily swap the hooks out for something else? Copper? Gold? Nickel?

Yes. It can be quite frustrating. I sometimes wear surgical steal (it usually does not bother me but sometimes it does), but the metal that is least likely to make me bleed is gold.
I find your feather earing very beautiful. I can't wait to see future sets and maybe even buy a pair someday.

o_O That's not good, I can definitely see how it can cramp your ability to wear stuff :C With any auction/sell I can always swap out the findings, even if it might take a day to get them.

That is some good service you got. I wish all jeweliers would do that. (I think that is what they are) I will keep my eyes peeled for future earings then. You can't have to many of them.

Hehe, I tend to just call 'em jewelers for simplicity's sake XD
True true, when all my feathers come in I should be well set to hold up until the feather economy recovers.

Weeeeelll I do plan on opening commissions for them when all my feathers are in and my commission page sets up fully. For the time being it'll be random auctions for particular sets. First one is starting tonight.

Hehe, the white one is from a bird called the Silver Pheasant, one of the larger members of the pheasant families. I have a portion of a wing from one of the variety packs at the flyshop where I work, and haven't found similar since.

Again, marvelous. They are simply beautiful. I cannot express how much I'd rather buy these from you than some store out at a mall where they are mass produced. This just means all the more that someone used their own hands.

Well I have a honking huge hackle pad of that orange-black badger to use so there will definitely be more pieces of that particular coloration X3
The problem with the mass-produced feathers is half the time they're dyed goose body feathers, peacock, or guinea fowl XP Stuff you find at a hobby store.
I've been prowling ebay still and placed bids on bulk packs of molted parrot feathers to add flaire to my collections since the ones I've been nailing are predominately reds and golds ¬.¬ And I figured from one of my larger pads I could make enough earrings sold at about $20 each to pay off the cost of all the feathers put together, and the real amount I spent is close to what a small hackle pad costs at a wholesaler site ¬.¬
