Description
Assault Droid from Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic in red (aka Star Forge version) built in Rhino 6.0This was technically my first 3D model ever done in advanced/specialized modelling software.
Having absolutely no instruction other than our teacher throwing a (poorly made) manual at us, I spent about half a semester in my Junior year of High School in my design class working on this.

I think it's pretty good for a high school piece. Oh, and the ONLY image of this sweet machine on dA... you know what, I should make one of these too!

It was my first time using any devoted 3D software, even if it did take me a whole semester to finish it (granted, as most high schoolers, I goofed off a lot because it was shop class and the teacher was busier supervising the part of the garage with the tools). I always liked these droids from KOTOR.
I'd be happy to see what you come up with too! 
Come to think of it, I may eventually give another whack at this now that I have better programs and more experience...

I've never actually worked with a real 3d software program much, but I have spent numberless hours with LDD and CADD, so I know some of the concepts of those kinds of pieces.
