Hey there guys, so I just finished my horse portrait painting. I haven't made a horse in a very very long time, I think it's been since I was in high school since I last drew one, and I'm very happy with how this turned out. I left some painterly strokes in here to give it that "traditional" feel, in my opinion, it gives the piece more interest and has a more genuine painterly style to it. I thought that it'd be cool to add in some dark tones to the mane for some contrast, and to make it a bit different than the original reference image.I hope you guys like how this painting turned out, and thank you very much for checking out my work!
Time it took to complete was about 3.5 hours.
