Description Title is from Through Heaven's Eyes from The Prince of Egypt soundtrack. It's a fitting title don't you think?

As we all know as Merlin fans, Merlin is Magic, Arthur is Courage, and Gwaine is Strength. I sat down and came up with ones for the other characters.

The images were all found on Google through google image search and I put them together in the collage, added the words, and such.

Merlin is the only one that has some sort of color on purpose.

Here is why people are what they are (in my opinion)

Left to Right

Morgana (Spite) Morgana wants to hurt Uther and Arthur Pendragon, along with those associated with them. For this reason she is "Spite."
Arthur (Courage) Arthur is courage, it takes a lot of courage to do what he must as prince of Camelot, not to mention the several times he stands up to his father. He has the courage to change things when he is king.
Guinevere (Hope) Guinevere (Gwen) has hope that when Arthur is king he will be different. She has hope that things will be good again.
Lancelot (Honor) Please for dear Lancelot, ignore what happens in the legends and remember that he is a knight and that is what he has always wanted to be. He lives by the code, he fights with Honor.
Merlin (Magic) Merlin has magic, he will become the most powerful sorcerer in the world.
Gwaine (Strength) Gwaine is a strong fighter, easy enough.
Percival (Bravery) Even after only meeting Arthur once, Percival has the bravery to fight beside him, even if it means his death.
Elyan (Duty) He has a duty to his sister to be there and protect her, and also to Arthur to help him fight for Camelot.
Leon (Loyalty) Leon has fought beside Arthur, and has always remained loyal to Camelot, even when Morgana took control.

So there I explained. And please people...stop telling me why Lancelot should NOT be Honor. Cause if you do I will direct you to the summary.

While I do agree with all of the above, Gwaine is strength for more than just his sword and physical strength. There's emotional strength there too, guiding his steps. Also, i'm assuming there's something about strength of character there too

Good lord, of *course* Lancelot should be honour. This is meant to be the Lancelot from the show, not some lesser man who got himself inserted into Arthurian legends (yes, that's right, *inserted* - he wasn't in the older versions of the stories) to add drama and angst. I dislike the "legends" Lancelot, but I love the BBC Merlin Lancelot.

oh yeah I heard that, AND when Lancelot was first inserted, the labcelot and guenivire drama wouldn't happen until much later versions-by the french I'm told. correct me if I'm wrong. no offence to the french, you're cool.

TomBydand [2011-09-14 19:05:13 +0000 UTC]

I'm sure in the version of the legand I read he never did anything with guinevere, he lays near her and keeps her company but never consumates the relation ship, the tragady lies in that they are agreeing never to do anything when (I think it's mordred) frames them. At least the version I read. So yes he is honour, did you know the script on the round table actually translated to apropiate qualities? Merlin sat infront of magic Arthur infront of 'high king' gwen was love gaius leader in thought. Anyhoo, awesome job.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

calceil In reply to TomBydand [2011-09-14 20:02:47 +0000 UTC]

There's a bunch of different versions of the original legends as I am coming to find out, but on a previous picture I did people KEPT mentioning that so...that's why I put that up there.
And no I didn't know that. That's cool.

Thank you!

C-Jackline-M [2011-09-12 20:25:37 +0000 UTC]

I love Leon's title
I have no clue why people would give you so much flack for having Lancelot as Honour. He's more noble and honourable than anyone even without the noble blood. :C
Though looking at Gwaine and Percival I can't but think they should be switched - Percy looks like he could lift Gwaine up with one arm, lol ;D

Nice touch with having Merlin's special name as the same colour as his eyes when he is using magic x

I love this x It's a bit like 'Vice Infection' only a tad different with the names <3
