*EDIT 2014-12*I felt the need to make some adjustments and add a few things. Β Rain different lightning, come texture to things, lighting changes as well as color correction and some adjustments to the contrast and what not. Long overdue.

As per some suggestions, I've done more of the lighting on the Dwarf himself, more with the cloud lighting, more with the rock lighting, and made them a bit sharper, as they were a bit blurry. I've tried to get the colors in together better. In all, I'm happy with it, and I think I shall call this finished.

This is the first of my portfolio pieces. It's actually much larger, I think maybe poster sized. It took a long time to do, but it's all painted. I'm actually quite happy with it. Might be the only one, but whatever.
I graduate from school this term, so I'm one step closer to having a cohesive portfolio.
All PS CS2, some photo ref. 15+ hours from concept to finish.

I don't play wow, they all kinda look alike though. Even the warcraft ones look like D&D, how much can ya really change a dwarf?
Though I suppose the gunaxe doesn't help does it?

oh wow that's awesome, definitely deserves a full view. i love the clouds and lighting effects, its so dramatic. nice job on the character, his outfit and pose seems so authentic. this is a portfolio piece for sure.

Why thank you SoOO much, and for the +fav, your too good to me. I'm really gald you like it, I worked hard, and the clouds paid off I think as well, they are painted, not a photo. I have a brush, but usually, people think they look too real.

Amazing! You are still moving forward with your skills. Your ability to use mixed media and do it well is still climbing (and I was way impressed before!). As silly as it sounds, my favorite thing in this piece is actually the way in which you incorporated your logo into the whole. Rather than simply placing it in the picture (which sometimes makes it look like an afterthought), you treated as part of the whole piece.
