In my headcanon, Penny´s soul transferred itself to Ruby´s scroll when she died, but Ruby´s scroll can´t process that much info, so Penny´s sort of asleep right now.

I love that theory, it sounds adorable. I had this comic idea for vol 3, where during the fall of Beacon she transferred into a Paladin and started being adorable in the giant mech.

As much as I´d want that to happen, I also want her to have transferred to Ruby´s scroll, and now that Ruby is in Mistral, Penny´s just chilling on Haven Academy´s main computer.

Oh, yeah, I prefer yours. It cuts out a lot of waiting time for them to get to Atlas, and Nuts and Dolts is the only ship I care about so having Penny in Ruby's pocket this whole time sounds adorable.

Yeah, but like I said, Ruby´s scroll doesn´t have enough processing power, so Penny would have to stay in the nearest CCT tower and could only communicate with Ruby by contacting her through her scroll.
Unless, of course, there is another computer powerful enough to handle Penny.
I would be suggesting Yang´s new arm, as it is connected to her brain, but that´d make the ship a bit weird...
Anyway, I´ve got this fanfiction where I incorporated some of these ideas, and while the ship isn´t the main focus, I still have plans.
I don´t want to spoil too much, but in the parts I´ve already uploaded, it´s stated that Penny is safe at Haven. She´s not explicitly mentioned by name, but all things considered, it should be relatively obvious.
