It was midday when I got to the show, we had a quiet morning, nothing too crazy happened. When I got into the trailer Lucifer was asleep, which was quite odd since most horses stay wide awake in the trailer. Or at least the horse I've known stay awake. I backed him out of the trailer, he stumbled a bit but he was okay. Today I was feeling a tad* girly, so I decided we were going all pink for our run.

We walked around in the warm-up arena while we waited. He was so calm, it was too good to be true. He had an interest in the other horses or anything, he was acting like a gelding. But when it was our turn to run he started to act like his normal self. I shorted up my reins to prepare myself for the sharp turns.

Lucifer threw his head up and tossed it around, he reared up and bolted on me. I lost my seat and stirrup from this, I also lost control of Lucifer. Luckily he knew what he was doing, but turned the barrel too sharp making my knee slammed into the barrel, knocking it down to the ground. I quickly collected him back up and finished the run. We turned around the third barrel, leaving a hole into the ground. As we ran home I patted his neck and praised him. We didn't get a good run but he kept me alive, which is all I cared about. Sure I'll be coming back home with a horribly bruised knee but its damn worth it.
