CC and DD can seemingly accomplish the impossible with their new powers. Can their cuteness end this conflict and bring order to this fandom?At the very least this is something I've been wanting to say since 1999, so glad I got that off my chest. (though too late for them, they ain't getting any more of my money!) XD
Anyone who can guess the two obscure references (and the small cameo) in panel 3 is going to have to make room for some serious pointage.

Any guess on what the winnebago and the starfighter hats are meant to represent? The one on the left has already been guessed, but the one on the right is a killer....
That is, unless you've played old Star Wars flight sims.

I may have played a few Star Wars games, including flight sims, but not any that I'd recognize the ship from. Luckily, the highres holds the key! [link]

And yes, that was my very favourite star fighter in the entire Xwing/Tie Fighter series of flight sims, and oh how I dreamt it could receive more recognition (include the Z-95 Headhunter). But alas, it would forever be relegated to the realm of fan-material-way-superior-to-the-ever-changing-canon-one. -.-
But in any event, you win! Was there ever any doubt?

While playing with Legos back in the day I made a ship that vaguely looks like that Z-95. Oh the irony, I simply lacked the parts to create a X-wing. XD

haha! Well no kidding, although it certainly had more of a "primitive x-wing" feel. I never did like the fact that the Clone Wars era tech was made so razzle dazzle, without even a single attempt to make it look aged.
Then again, I can't think of any official Star Wars era that isn't a copy and paste of any other era (e.g., Knights of the Old Republic, ugh...)

It bugs me still that in the new trilogy the closest thing you have to the evolution of ships is the beginnings of spherical battleships. :/
