FINALLY!!! I DREW RENAMON!!! >8CCCCCCCA very sketchy fan-art of renamon from Digimon, one of my fav shows as a kid.
Took me at least 10 tries to draw her properly, or at least until i liked the results.

Nice one Insanity The pose and shading is very well done,I love the posing and face.
Some of the sketchy parts are abit too sketchy to the point of messy e.g the tail but other than that its one of your best ones so far imo :]

HAHAHA! yeah, some people draw better at Fan-art or drawing in some other style they copied, or something like that >_<;;;;
But i just wanted to draw stuff thats just unique or just what i love to draw lots (animals, anthro, anime, cartoons) I just recently became inspired to draw Rejected Cartoon style, or w/e... But Art is in the eye of the beholder! meaning, Art can be ANYTHING! 8UUUU as long as some people agree with you... >_> <_< i believe.
Fan-art is hard for me cuz i have to stick to refs all the time >_<;;;; I'm more of the... play with the image in your head... then put it on paperz.
Lots of people like fan-art tho, i dont know why, but they do O_O;

I'd love to draw things that are unique, but to be honest, I'm way to freaking unexperienced xD I've never really drawn anything before, and I don't get enough practice. I'm sure over time I'll get better, and then I'll start having more things to show for
And I agree. Art CAN be anything. It's all in the eye of the beholder. Art can take many, and any, form at all. From tradition drawings, paintings, or just 'eye candy', to animations and full-featured television shows (thinking about Digimon), to sounds and music, to written literature. I even believe that video games could be seen as an art style. I mean, obviously, not all of them, by any means.
But take the game The World Ends With You. The game features a very unique, dark, twisted, and enthralling story that sucked me in, amazing artwork and design like i'd never seen before, pretty great music that matched the tone of Shibuya of Tokyo, and very intuitive combat designs. It was a work of art in itself, in my opinion.
Yeah. Well I mean though, often times it's fun to create sort of a tribute towards something you love, isn't it? Like you're Renamon picture, pictures of Link from Twilight Princess I've seen, Saphira of Inheritance, etc. Hopefully I can one day draw a true fan art for things like that 8D
