   Story

   Courtney held onto the smooth, new lead rope easily. The young stallion tugged eagerly as they neared the large pasture, his nostrils flaring as he jumped. Courtney smiled and chuckled, shaking her head as she patted the young male's sturdy neck. "Calm down, Blue." She cooed easily.
Pausing at the gate, she opened it slowly, keeping a steady grip on the lead rope. With easy, practice steps, she led the stallion in, shutting the gate behind her. In a fluid motion, she had his halter off. Patting his neck, she shooed him away, smiling in awe as she watched him thunder down the hill to the other horses.
Watching him run, she had no doubt in her mind that they had made the right decision in buying the horse. He would fit in just right, and most surely turn into a well rounded competitor.
