why do people spell it as Chat Noir instead of Cat Noir?

its the french spelling since Chat Noir translates to "Black Cat"
I find it makes more sense since "Cat Noir" is 1/2 english, 1/2 french. Plus I watch the french dub so it just seems more natural to me
