Description Winter is coming.
Too late to fill the dream bowl, boys.
We'll be scraping the slick, icy sides before long,
hungry for memories of spring,
mental fingers scrabbling for glimpses of summer
in the dessicated husks of death.

Isn't it strange how something that is destroyed or damaged can still seem beautiful all it takes is someone with an eye for beauty. Just like you...This is a beautiful shot the colours, the lighting, everythingis just awsome!

I love nature like this... in moments of death and decay. I'm glad you can see the beauty in it as well. Thank you for your kind words!

Thank you so much for the feature.

The focal work provides such a dramatic touch.

Wonderful eyes, to have spotted this poetry in the wild.

I've spent a lot of my time this last year looking down...

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

marzguy In reply to butterfly36rs [2007-11-10 13:58:25 +0000 UTC]

That's a sad but beautiful statement.

You do have the poet within you.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

butterfly36rs In reply to marzguy [2007-11-10 14:16:02 +0000 UTC]

It was the only way I knew how to deal with all that I was going through. This may be another winter of looking down and through the lens, but I've begun to throw away some of the weight, so I expect to be looking up a bit more.

As for that poet, she has temper tantrums and the blues sometimes. But at other times, she dances. I'm missing those moments of grace...

Keep dancing Rachel.

As your kids and most of your friends assuredly know,
It's your pirouettes that keep the world spinning.

Ahh. Good. I was getting worried. Especially since I've stopped dancing. I was beginning to feel a bit out of control... sort of a whirling dervish.

Lovely study of the texture and form, and the muted colour palette of blue-greys created by the focus is very pretty.

butterfly36rs In reply to GreenEyedHarpy [2007-11-11 14:33:26 +0000 UTC]

I really do not know. That is one reason I'd like to find it again. I want to know what it looks like growing.
