Description A piece I made this semester for Metalsmithing class. I tried to make the dragon have a lifelike, fluid motion by bending two rods into the shape of the dragon's body. The head was created by bending two separate pieces of sheet metal into the upper and lower sections and soldering them together.

Next semester, I'd like to create a smaller dragonling to go with this piece, to create a whole piece to be entitled "To Care for the Dragonling". This dragon was intended to look as if it's a parent looking down on their child, but without the child I don't think it really works.

Materials: Bronze 18 gauge sheet metal and bronze 18 gauge rod, with a black patina.
