You opened my cage door,
And let me out.
Even though I was still chained,
The taste of freedom was potent.

Being able to spread my wings a little.
Being able to walk on my own.
Being able to see the world anew.
Being able to touch a friend,
Without steel bars between us.

All are things most take for granted.
They have those things at their finger tips.
They wouldn't last,
Wouldn't survive,
If all those things were taken from them.

That's what happened almost four years ago,
When they gave me to you.
I thought nothing could be as bad as before,
When I was with Her,
But I was wrong.
At least before I was not bond,
I was free.
