mmm, lovely, how do you do your flowers, they don't look rushed at all and if theres something I know about us artists it's you can't spend to much time on one thing. Also elk skull for a dragon head, wish I thought of that.

For the flowers, well...I just spent a lot of time studying flowers (in photos and in my own garden), and then when I actually started drawing, I worked very loosely/abstractly at first, just trying to get the basic light/colour, and leaving the detail till the very end.

Did the rough colouring/shading of the dragon, then drew vague guidelines for the scales, then basically just drew each individual scale.
Thinking back, that was kind of a tedious and stupid way of doing it.
