I'm again amazed, at the emotion... in a pencil sketch, shades of gray; soft and smeared, dark and sharp. A pair of eyes, quietly pleading, yearning and sad? Perhaps determined but a little afraid? Maybe all of it. Her head against his shoulders, her arms and hands holding on to him... but his... why are they at his sides? I want him to hold on to her, to turn around and embrace her. I stare at the drawing, half hoping that if I gaze long enough at them he'll do just as I wish and as her eyes turn up to meet his he'll say something to make those eyes light up.
I'm afraid... anxious that he'll instead pull away, perhaps slowly, but best he does so hesitantly because he doesn't want to leave though he must, because he loves her. But what if he moves quickly, tearing off the bandage, perhaps not looking back! My eyes get hot as I imagine her standing there, alone on the white page her lines blurring as she crumples into her palms a mess of light-colored hair obscuring the tears I know she's crying, that I hope somewhere he's crying, I want to cry for them both.
I feel helpless, because I can't see the next step, I can't make it better, help him stay, comfort her when he goes. I want to urge you to re-write it, make an A.U. to counteract all this anxiety... but I would wonder, if it's true? I look at this as though it were a moment of a real life - I can't taint that, it's too beautiful as it is, pain, sadness, not knowing, her eyes, his arms, all of it! Just as it is.
I'm inspired. All this feeling, these many words, these thoughts that will hold me till I put pen to paper in my battle of skill to master my hand tying it to muscle and bone so that I may someday inspire someone to look into my mind and be amazed, feel helpless, be bound by adoration for beauty, and in the end be inspired.

So beautiful, you have an amazing ability to capture an immense amount of emotion in such simple imagery. Its so sad that he's turned away and that she's holding on. I always hated that the Doctor and Rose couldn't be together forever. And none of his other 'sidekicks' have as much substance.
