I love your comparison piece on Lily and Ginny, and your little rant explaining their expressions running together. However, this expression is definitely how I pictured Lily. Ginny, however mirthful and spunky and absolutely ADORABLE as she is, doesn't have the same sophisticated and prim face as Lily, at least in my mind. the point: I like this

I'm getting non-Potterheads confused... James is my favourite character (from any book, tied with Percy and Harry, even) and he barely has any page time at all. I don't know why, but it's really amusing to see how baffled they are by it.

Lily groaned. Partnered with Potter in Charms...she wasn't sure if she'd survive. She braced herself when Flitwick finished overviewing their project and she turned towards James. There was a small intake of breath as she saw a pair of hazel eyes looking up at her.
James was sprawled across the desk, a goofy smile plastered on his face, his head resting against his hand on his elbow. Lily hadn't noticed how dark James' eyes were, or how wide his smile was...
She supposed that he had been deflating his overly-large ego. And being Head Boy seemed to have done wonders to his sense of responsibility. So why did it seem that Lily Evans had never noticed how much she loved the silly, Quidditch playing, James Potter?

I don't know, I think that James was "into her" but not in a traditional, let's get married and a son who saves the world, kind of way. But I bet it was mutual when they both actually "fell" for each other.

What kind of formal art training have you had? I would just like to know, like, how far can self-taught anatomy really take you, and what kind of classes or lessons helped you out the most?

well, when i was in grade school,
i took some art classes at a
community college where my dad taught.
but i was so young, i'm not sure
if i really retained anything...lol.
actually, that's a lie. we just
learned mostly the basics,
but it was really helpful nonetheless.
i think it really helped that i
started so early, as well.
then, more recently, i took a
painting class with acrylics and oils.
which was amazing, but we basically
did landscapes.
i have taken art classes at my high
school, but they're just history stuff.
so, in answer to your question,
i honestly haven't done that much
formally.
i have a few books my dad bought me
though, that help with anatomy
and show tricks of the trade.
so that might be part of it...
