This is incredible! I often wondered how Ratigan could have a five o'clock shadow if rats are supposed to be all furry!

Thank you very much! I always assumed that the top of his face was bare since it was the same colour as his hands and ears which on real rats arenβt covered in fur. Some men shave their beard Ratigan shaves his face
And during the fight scene his face changes completely and becomes grey all over. Perhaps all his rage got his testosterone flowing as well since all that fur grew out in a matter of seconds?

It must be. He hated being hairy all over and shaved his face, thus creating a five o'clock shadow around the chin and neck. That's true with the end scene! His Hyde form grew muscles, claws, and fur all over!
