i used to be heavily into Frank Miller's Noir style, and one big part was how crisp and clean the lines and edges looked. but when i see your messy sketch sort of approach, it just seems to have a certain charm to it.
do you start from scratch on a tablet?

I´m still way into Frank Miller´s old stuff. I think I´ve actually picked up lots of influences from his work. I wouldn´t say he´s super clean, I like other artists who are way more anal with their linework (like Brian Bolland for one) but I tend to go more for rough, looser styles. How I go about drawing varies. The first post apocalyptic one I uploaded here (the one with a profile shot of a girl smoking) was drawn in pencil in my sketchbook, scanned in and inked digitally, the one with a girl and her dog I drew a quick layout sketch directly in ink as well as some different faces that I scanned in and then worked it up digitally from there, the one with a one armed woman and a bird on her shoulder was pretty much all digitally from scratch. I do enjoy more combining traditional with digital.

Great job. Have you seen "Girl" by Duncan Fegredo? The story is a little disturbing, but the art is excellent.

Well yeah a personal project, I´ve just started it up and it´s gonna be kind of long but I really want to tell this story. I have a finished short story, totally unrelated to this longer project, already drawn but needs lettering before I upload it.
