I swear I didn't set out to make Isolde that evil. >.>
Originally, this flashback scene was to be one page. I'm glad I made the decision to make it two. I just hope I was able to do the emotional states justice. And I believe this marks the halfway point!

Heh, well she tended to treat my elf like crap too so Faylen wasn't too inclined to be that nice to her. But... I don't like one-dimensional characters and, up until DA2's MoA DLC, I kind of could get where she was coming from.

Wow, so much depth here. I love how this whole comic has perfectly filled in the empty space left by Alistair's story. And no, I don't think you set out to make Isolde look evil, just as the game itself doesn't. What we have in Isolde is a perfect example of a shades of Greycharacter. She Loves her Family, and her Son, however it's to the exclusion of all else to the point where her love acutally endangers others and even opens the door for a greater Evil to come into thier lives. She's a tragic and flawed character, but not one I'd label as evil in the classive sense of the term.

Buuuuuuuut... little Alistair cannot possibly be a threat for Connor, they weren't the same age at all. I mean Connor wasn't even born when Alistair was a kid, right?

I'm guessing that Connor was just born when Alistair was sent away, or at least conceived. I believe Alistair was 10 when they sent him away, and Connor looks to be about 10-12, so it's possible that Connor might have been around. Isolde, thinking Alistair is Eamon's child, would see him as a threat since Alistair could try and kill his half-brother, or injure him, since Alistair is older. And having a child would make her much more insistant that he leave NOW.

I thin he know the arl family,And he knows Conner,They maby stayed in touch after Alistair left..But I think they who made the game forgotten that part when they made the game..I dunno..But Alistair diden't talked with the arl waht I know..Oh..how confusing..

I was wondering the same thing... Connor appears to be 9 years old tops. Alistair should be something around 22-23 at his youngest, so unless Alistair is sixteen, it's a bit here and there if it works like that.
