I realised the other day that I've never redesigned the cutiemark crusaders (at least not in a while) so I decided to give it a go! Here's a couple notes
Scootaloo
Noodle child. Tweaked her colors a tiny bit (mixed her mom and dad's pallets in) and made her highlights at the tips of her mane, it just feels,, faster?? Idk. I wanted to emphasize the size of her wings so I made her a little lankier like her mom (it's hard to see but her wings are also supposed to be slightly different sizes) . Bandaids, scars, and a missing tooth for obvious reasons, plus a mohawk because it seems on brand. I also like to think it's kind of a result of a 'cutiemark crusaders hair stylists' related incident.
Apple Bloom
Absolutely itty bitty. I adore big apple Bloom but I wanted to add a little more variation, and I think it would be interesting if she was really small! I think her family would go out of their way to protect her and try to keep her from doing bigger work, but that's all she wants to do. She's surprisingly strong for her size, and she'll probably hit a very jarring growth spurt eventually. I gave her poofier hair to resemble pear butter, plus shaved hooves cause she wants to look TOUGH.
Sweetie Belle
Baby girl, baby. Definitely the girliest of the three, and I changed the least about her aside from her body type. I gave her a small gradient in the purple parts of her hair like rarity has, just to tie them together a bit. I gave her painted hooves and a little hair clip just because it's cute. I like chubby sweetie belle a lot, not only because it just seems on brand, but also because I like body positive Rarity a LOT. Like Rarity who specifically caters to folks with body types that aren't usually reflected in fashion. I think growing up around Rarity would be amazing for Sweetie's confidence, so she's pretty much unfazed by any bullying around her weight. She knows she looks amazing.
Anyway like most of my redesigns these designs aren't canon to any universe, they're just for fun! Please don't use or repost these specific designs without my permission (if you wanna take inspo go ahead I don't own these ideas lol)
