ooh, this one's superb. for some reason i was always fascinated by combinations of greyscale and colour palettes. this artistic device is seemingly so simple, yet powerful.

The sakuras must represent spring and the mountains must represent winter (as evidenced by the white patches of snow). With the sakuras being dominant, I like how it could mean that spring is coming and winter is ending!

oh man, you know, I usually pay quite a lot attention to put together those objects that represent the same season (e.g. you don't want to paint a summer teacup with a winter flower). But here I completely forgot about it, and after seeing your comment I was like OMG what if Fuji can't beΒ snowbound when sakura flowers, aaaa, and I rushed to check some photos, and it's okΒ And I actually like your explanation a lot, I even started to like this piece myself moreΒ *sorry for my eng*
