Inspired by old Japanese folklore. A Jorogumo is said to be when a spider, most often a species of orb-weaver, comes to be 400 years old. On its 400th birthday, the spider gains strange powers and grows into a size of a cow. A Jorōgumo can also shapeshift into a beautiful woman. The Jorogumo's diet consists mainly of insects, but occasionally they grow so big that they can also catch and eat small birds. They usually displayed a rather sadistic and cruel personality and are able to casually capture several humans present on the tower of her web for devouring.
