Hmmm, it's not something I dislike, but how about adding some white in the border, to match the white in her dress? Maybe only a one pixel thin line inside the border? (I'm pretty fond of using the "Lighten" tool in my borders

Hmm, my suggestion would be to make the border 3 pixels wide, then put the lighter one in the middle, like a sandwich!
