The Spiritus Familiaris is a demonic creature from German folklore. Those arachnoid beings were sold in bottles or jars, and brought fortune to their owners. Owning one of these demons made a person beloved by their friends, feared by their enemies, wealthy and healthy, it blessed them with longevity and protected in battle. However, whoever owned one in the moment of their death had their soul dragged to hell by the demon. Also, the good fortune for the owner turned into misfortune for others quickly. Goods sold and money given by the owner would quickly lose value or even turn into something awful for those the goods were sold or the money given to.
This is because the Spiritus could directly affect the threads of Fate, skewing probabilities in favor of it's owner. However, for all odds changed to someone's advantage, for someone else they had to change negatively, to balance the demonic meddling on a cosmic scale.
As a result, the owner of a Spiritus Familiaris often sought to pass it on as quickly as possible. And since that was only possible by selling it for at least one whole coin less than the demon had been bought, it was almost impossible to do so without tainting one's own soul, bringing it closer to the grasp of the devil anyway.
Coffee is such a demon, although she has been sealed, weakened and filtered through another person's mind and body for a long time. So she retained some abilities from her time as a demon - and her original form.

Biography: Coffee's life has been very long. So long that she barely remembers it's beginning, or even how long it has been since her creation. Her oldest memories are of being imprisoned in a bottle already, and mindlessly fulfilling the task she'd been given.

Then, one day, a bright young man bought her, found out what she was - and instead of trying to sell her again, he did his best to befriend her. His name was Theophrastus, and over the course of the next few centuries, he became her life.

He freed her from her prison and she thanked him by teaching him about the occult, about the mystical Herb of Life, extending his lifespan by hundreds of years - and by bringing him great Fortune even though she didn't have to anymore. It was a mistake - throughout his many years, her meddling with his Fate was what worsened it eventually. That was what caused a fallout between them, and the reason for why Theophrastus sealed her again - this time in the body of a Sugar Plum Fairy called Cocoa.

Within her, Coffee reverted to bitterness and mistrust towards others, and to a behavior guided by effectiveness and the loss of compassion. She only regained her ability to feel trust and affection when Cocoa entered a tournament - the Tumblr Rumblr - and lost her battles both times she participated, but won some friends in return. Not only for herself, but also for Coffee, who experienced genuine affection for her for the first time in what felt like centuries.

Sadly, Theophrastus had never stopped trying to hunt her down, and eventually, he succeeded in killing her. If it hadn't been for a mysterious benefactor, she would have slipped through the cracks of the decaying dimension the tournament had taken place in and probably ceased to exist. But now, she gets a second chance - a chance to return to all the people she loves. In her own body this time, not a borrowed one.

Personality: Very calm, collected and distanced towards especially strangers, but she generally dislikes being caught acting emotional, flustered or passionate. She tends to have a good grasp on her own pride, even though it definitely is a defining trait for her. Due to her nature she can manipulate people well, finding it easy to act out all kinds of emotions, but she resorts to it a bit less often since she experienced actual friendship in the Tumblrverse.
Coffee has a very logical and sometimes ruthless way to approach problemsolving, being willing to take the most effective measures possible even if they don't synch up with most people's morals. But she does put a lot of emphasis on long-term consequences, so this doesn't necessarily mean she always takes the most brutal route. (For example: Risking an alliance by killing a person to achieve a short-term goal seems nonsensible to her. She would put higher value on the alliance and preserve it, trusting that it would be a much stronger tool in achieving her goal eventually.)
When she loves, she loves very deeply, and might even, rarely, show a vulnerable side of herself. She also has trouble with harming or risking harm to the few people she gets attached to.

Fears: Theophrastus. Just... Theophrastus. She is terrified of him, even though she left him behind in another dimension. There is also the fear that she might do the same she did to him to her new friends - attract great misfortune to them in her efforts to keep them safe and happy. Betrayal, naturally. And last but not least: Failure on her part.

Inspiration: Atonement for how she has wronged many benevolent people in the past.

Other: She is pretty much dead, or as dead as a demon can be, and therefore pretty powerless in this form. She chirps when she is very happy or experiences something very pleasant, and that displeases her because it's embarassing and she can't turn it off. She also makes skree-noises when she's irritated or huffy (like this but louder). Those noises happen even in her more humanoid form.

Racial Advantages: Having been a creature with he power to bend fate to her whim before, she still can see probabilities - a kind of limited clairvoyance, if you so will. She can often sense how likely a specific outcome in any situation would be, even though this ability, of course, is not always reliable. (It is just statistics after all - just because the likeliness of her enemy deciding to spare her is only 1%, that doesn't mean she can't get lucky enough for exactly those 1% to come true.) She also has a mental connection to versions of her in all dimensions alternate realities that never came true. Whenever a decision changed her fate, there was also a world in which it ended up different than in hers. This may cause her problems, too, because many of her alternate selves have been imprisoned for millenia, and their suffering may cause panic in Coffee sometimes when she faces being imprisoned again.

Transformation Sequence Info: For her transformation, Coffee is enveloped by coffee powder until it forms a kind of egg, pulsating and growing. Eventually, she "hatches" from that egg in her senshi form.

Abilities: Coffee can see the Threads of Fate connecting people and influential events, and affect them. This is how she increases the probability of unlikely events or decreases how likely a seemingly inevitable event might be. It also helps her to recognise people and events that will affect her own Fate strongly - sometimes, feelings or mindsets from alternate realities where this has already happened seep into her enough to even have an inkling if she will be affected positively or negatively. But that is rather rare, it only happens if the outcome in question is extremely likely.
Whenever she affects fate in one way, there must happen something else to retain balance. This means she needs to be creative about how exactly she manipulates fate. If an enemy charges at her for example, she could just skew the odds in her favor so much that she effortlessly survives the blow - but that would come at a high cost. It would be more sensible for her to affect a tiny event - say, a bird's bowel movements - so it gets in her enemies way.

Weapons: She is very good at hand-to-hand combat and at weaponising her environment, fighting dirty if it seems most profitable. Her actual official weapon is a sheathed katana without handguard - but for some reason, she can't actually summon it yet. It only briefly appears when she tries to, and is gone again before she can even fully grasp what it is. Even if she should be able to finally summon it, she won't manage to unsheathe it.*

Attacks:
Cappuccino Cannon - Coffee creates and shoots a big ball of a dark, tar-like liquid at her opponent. The liquid is extremely thick and sticky, hindering the opponents movement and possibly even rendering weapons useless.
Espresso Entropy - This is the ability she actually uses to affect Fate.
Sugar Shockwave - Since her sword doesn't let her summon it, she can't use this attack as of yet. For this, she rams her still sheathed katana into the ground, creating an intense shockwave for an AoE attack.*
(*I have listed and explained these things depite not planning to use them right from the get-go so my opponents can implement them into their entries at will, without having to face the problem of not knowing how the weapon looks or works.)
Weakness: Coffee has huge trust issues, and doesn't know how to cope with her own feelings that well. Experiencing affection to or from others especially still confuses her. There is also her fear of suffering the fate of her alternate selves, which can be used against her by those who find out about it. And of course her fear of Theo. Her usual confidence can easily turn to faltering if he is imitated or brought up.
She also reacts to many things demons traditionally are vulnerable to. Hawthorne, silver, crosses, blessed water... while she can endure the presence of these things, they might briefly stun or harm her in battle.

Personality: Her personality doesn't change much from her arachnid form, but she does gain a lot more confidence due to the more powerful and versatile body. She also relies on manipulation through trying to wake protection instincts in others more, since her humanoid form is regarded as cuter than her arachnid one by most of the people she interacts with.
