Bioluminites are a race of fungal aliens that reside on the planet Flors Verdance alongisde the Florauna. The Bioluminites tend to reside in places with little light, such as caves and deep within thick forests where light doesn’t often hit.
Their bodies produce an innate bio-luminescence that allows their bodies to glow and produce all of the light they need to go about their day to day activities. Different individuals can possess different colors of light, and are capable of communicating with each other by flickering their auras in patterns akin to morse code.
Though they lack eyes, the Biolumintes have 360-degree vision allowing them to easily see their surroundings. They’re omnivorous and can eat just about anything, but tend to gravitate towards plant matter and water.
Bioluminites can condense their light into concentrated beams of energy, or unleash it all around them in a burst. Doing this, however, can leave them tired. They can spread a glowing trail of spores in their wake that can be used to mark trails and paths, and can even create specialized surveillance shrooms that they can look through.
As Glo-Shroom, Ben is tiny, which can lead to disadvantages if it wasn’t the alien he was going for. Though the form would be good for sneaking into places, the fact that he glows in the dark makes doing so rather hard. While he can stop the glowing, it takes concentration to do so.
Glo-Shroom’s body is capable of regenerating if damaged due to being a fungus.
