Description Did this quite quickly, I didn't smooth everything out as much as usual to try to add to his character and his rough look. Any comments on how I can improve are always welcome, always willing to learn!

The hair amazes me! How'd you make it look so realistic?

Thanks very much! Hair always takes me ages! probably took just as long as the rest of the face! I think the best thing to do is to put a few rondom hairs flying about, it makes the hair look less like a helmet! other than that I use a number of pencil grades to get all the different tones in there. just look at the darkest parts of the hair first, put that in and gradually build the hair up. It's an idea to slightly blend the hair in too so that it looks thicker, if you don't it tend to look a bit wirey. after a tiny bit of blending i go back over it again and really pick out where theres a big jump from light to dark or a really shiny bit of hair! wow, essay over, hope that helps abit!
