Thanks for not giving up on me!!!  The paper is a light yellow tinted Canson mi-tientes, not a bad choice for pastel. However, my favorite surface for pastel is sanded paper, like Art Spectrum or Wallis.  These can take many layers of pastel and can be erased if need be.  (hugs) B
