I wanted to make some desktop backgrounds for Dovecote Crest. Here's my first hack at it. It came out okay: not really quite what I had in mind, but getting there. Sometimes I feel like I have no idea what I'm doing when I'm coloring things digitally.Actually, that's kind of all the time. Gnuh.

Ben would probably be shouting "Wait for meeee!", but I somehow want him to be going "arf! arf! arf!" like a puppy.

Ben is totally a puppy! It's true.
Nah, it isn't so Great-Plains-ish as I drew it here - I was taking liberties with the scene for the sake of simplicity and to get a spacious feel. I've got a bit of a yen for open spaces, probably since I grew up in an area with lots of mountains and hills
