This one shot takes place when Tenya and reader are 6 years old.

(Y/n) walked out of her house, while saying goodbye to her parents. She was going to get on the bus alone this time. She was 6 years old and too old for her parents to be sending her off, per her own request.

Though the closer to the bus stop she got the more frightened she felt. She couldn't do this, she was only a Kindergartener! Then, she saw a boy around her with dark blue hair and steely blue eyes. She had seen him in class before, but was too scared to introduce herself.

She slowly approached the tall boy, her petite figure taking comfort in someone her own age. Then, the boy turned around, frightening her.

"Hello! My name is Tenya Iida! It is lovely to make your acquaintance!" He bellowed, not realizing he was terrifying the already scared girl.

"Ah!" She screeched before calming. "My name is Y/N, i-it's nice to meet you."

"Please excuse my rude behavior, I did not intend to frighten you!"

"It's okay, as long as you sit by me on the bus!"

"I accept your offer!"

Then, they climbed on the bus and sat together in the front row, heads barely peeking over the leather seats. After a while they had arrived at the Kindergarten Center where their teacher welcomed them.

All the students piled into the room and situated themselves at the open tables with their names on them. Tenya walked up to his and sat down, emptying his supplies from his backpack and sorting them out in his desk.

Y/n looked around the room for her desk and quickly found it next to the blue haired boy, Tenya. She sat down and started unloading her stuff, putting all of her cute pencils and folders away.

Tenya looked at a Y/n and smiles. "I guess you're my new neighbor," Tenya joked folding his hands neatly on the desk, waiting patiently for class to start.

"Guess so." Y/n smiled and took out a blank sheet of paper and started to draw with her crayons. Her crayons scattered all over the desk as she scribbled all over her paper. Earning a curious glance from the boy next to her.

"What are you drawing?" Tenya questioned, leaning over slightly to see what she was scribbling.

"Im not sure yet. Hopefully something cool," Y/n responds, continuing her scribbling.

After a while she finishes her picture and holds it up. Tenya looks at it and tries to guess what it is.

"I still dont know what it is," Y/n says looking at Tenya and then back at the scribble filled paper.

Tenya puts a finger to his chin and thinks about what these scribbles could be. The scribbles somehow look like a animal to him.

"They kind of look like a animal, Y/n."
"Yeah, it kind of does," Y/n replies looking at the picture. ""Especially right here," Y/n says picking up the picture, turning it twoards Tenya.

She closes her eyes and tries to think of the animal that could be hiding in all of this.

"U-um Y/n! Your picture is on fire!" Tenya says jumping from his desk flailimg his arms like a maniac.
Y/n quickly drops the picture, letting it fall to the ground, flames still holding onto the picture.

She looks down at her still brightly lit hand and starts to scream.

"OH MY GOSH! MY HAND IS ON FIRE, TENYA MAKE IT STOP," Y/n says flapping her hand up in down in hopes that the flame will go out.

Tenya runs out of the room leaving the girl alone with her burning hand and a bunch of curious classmates. He returns shortly with the teacher and they quickly run to Y/n's side.

Y/n is still flapping her hand around but is stopped when the teacher grabs her arm. She looks up at the teacher.

"Y/n, sweetie. You dont need to be afraid. It just your quirk! I'm just surprised you got yours this early. Nothing to be worried about," the teacher reassures her, making the flame on her hand fizz out.

Y/n looks up and wipes the tears out of her eyes. She quickly smiles and thaks the teacher sitting down in her desk.
Tenya sits next to her adjusting his glasses.
"That was so scary Y/n! I thought you were going to explode!" Tenya says looking into her e/c eyes.

"I thought i was going to explode as well!"

--------- A few days later-------

Tenya looks around the playground trying to find his next victim in the game of tag. He was "it" and everyone was hiding. He saw a bit if h/c popping out from behind a tree a decent ways away from him. This is his perfect chance! He thought to himself and quietly made his way over, hoping the girl would not hear him.

Y/n was still oblivious the blue haired boy sneaking up on her. She looked around the tree and shrieked. Tenya was right in front of her!
She got up and bolted as fast as she could.

"I almost got you Y/n!" Tenya says reaching his arm out, trying to tag her.
A sudden boost of energy erupts from him and he goes flying into the h/c girl in front of him, causing them to both fly onto the ground.

"Tenya!" Y/n says holding her head. "What wa-. OH MY GOSH LOOK AT YOUR LEGS!" Y/n yells, pointing to little engines peeking out of the boys legs.
"Hey! I'm gonna be like my brother Tensei!" Tenya says poking the engines cautiously, a proud look shining on his face.

"Wow Tenya! You are like the Flash! And I'm like Zukko from Avatar! What a team! We will definitely kick butt when we get to become heroes!" Y/n says sitting next to Tenya.

"Yeah!" Tenya says smiling and testing out his new engines.
