Yeah!Β Honest John was voiced byΒ Walter Catlett and Gideon was voiced by a Warner Bros cartoon voice actor, Mel Blanc.

Correct. Gideon was originally gonna speak before it was decided to make him silent. Giddy's hiccups were the only thing Blanc really voiced for the character.
