... Evidently you've never played D&D (Dungeons and Dragons). A Drow is a dark elf, and they look just like that elven girl of yours - pointed ears, dark skin, and white hair. They also live underground and hate elves with a burning fiery passion. Oh, and usually they're evil.

To answer your question: Yenna is a half-dark elf. She's the daughter of a dark elf and a human woman
Also: In my novels dark elfs are banned elfs. If an elf gets adjudged for a crime and banned, he/she's turned into a dark elf by a magic spell. If a dark elf has a child, it is born as a dark elf himself without ever commiting a crime.
