Yeah, I know what you mean. A lot of artists think they are being very creative, in most cases they are, but in one style only, and just the subject of the piece or the thought behind it it original. It's being original but within a certain style. Experimenting with diffrent types of material and styles may be a big guess, cause you never know how its gonna turn out, but you learn a lot from that...
