Well aren't you picky. It's a god damned easter egg. It's not like a whole writing team came up with it, it's just something goofy one guy came up with and said "hey I should stick this in here". An interactive husk head that screams at you and your space hamster is a lot more creative than a little silver ball (Firewalker cabin item in Me2).

I really like this cute pic; but as I was looking at it, a weird thought popped into my head...What if common Earth symbols and gestures (hearts, crosses, smiley faces, pouty lips etc.) mean something completely different in alien cultures? Tali might be thinking Sheppy's mad at her and is making a rude symbol and/or gesture, LOL
