Another commission from the Kaiju Combat forums. This one was done for . Wences wanted to show the ice age Brutusk in one his earliest battles which happened to be against the prehistoric Macrosaurus (a really FAT t-rex). Because this is one of his first battles Brutusk does not have the scars he will accumulate in his long life of battling kaiju and humans. Pretty much people that dress as animals or mixtures between animals and pretend to be them. Don't know what's that complicated.
Do I got to say that there is also the rumor, that some say it's true, that they also f with animals ( I guess you know what the ,,f" means ), so yeah, I guess some of them take this pretend game to the far level.

Macrosaurus, although a very nifty creation, is also one of those monsters that's hard to get drawn right, from all the fan art I've seen of him thus far. Once again, amazing work here, and with getting Macrosaurus right, while making him pretty scary looking as well. The lessening of his already small arms is also a nice touch.

Thanks, Macro was a bit tricky because of his bulk and while he is a bit silly I endeavored to make him as fearsome as possible. And yeah I always thought his arms should be smaller.

Yep, poor trees haha. I was kinda attracted by them actually when I looked first at the picture, and it really shows how big and heavy the monsters are. Are you going to add such details in your future drawings?

Im all about details! So I try to put in some nice stuff like that. My favorite part is the cavemen throwing spears. It just cracked my up when I thought of that bit.

There's actually a whole lot of other details I would have added were I doing this for myself but if I go to my normal crazy detail standards Id only be getting pennies for each hours worth of work on these commissions. I have to balance the time I put into this stuff vs what I charge which is quite low compared to a lot of artists of my caliber here. Its hard for me to reign myself in though cause I love doing fine detail work. Ive got a painting in my galley of the Hulk where I took 4 hours just to paint his pant! Just cause I wanted them to look like real denim jeans. I can get a little nutty at times.
