After my long break from personal art I thought to myself, who better to jump back in with than Darach?! So here he is!

This little ball of mischief, for those who don't know, is my Scottish Pooka. Though Pooka (or Puca's) are Irish fairies, this little troublemaker has spend the last several hundred years fluttering around Scotland and has come to call it home.

I wanted to emphasize his sometimes cat-like qualities here. Darach will spend a great deal of time lounging, or stretching, or slumped half asleep in the bow of his oak tree. His little pot belly is more prominent when he's in a relaxed state, and can seem non existent when he's alert or in motion.

Though he is a shapeshifter, Darach spends most of his time in his Pookan form, conserving his energy for more important things... like sleeping or eating, or bothering Clair

There are a few comic-y scenes I hope to draw of him soon, as well as finally giving his horse form some attention. So keep an eye out for that more down the road.
